Our story, mission, and the team behind the platform
Maege began as a side project born from frustration with existing project management tools. As a developer working on complex e-learning and competency tracking systems, I found that available solutions either lacked the flexibility needed for specialized workflows or were too complex for efficient team adoption. What started as a personal solution to manage my own projects has evolved into a comprehensive platform designed to address these common pain points.
The name "Maege" draws inspiration from the concept of transformation - specifically, the process of turning complex management challenges into streamlined, intuitive workflows. Our development philosophy centers on creating tools that adapt to how teams actually work, rather than forcing rigid processes that hinder productivity and creativity.
At Maege, we believe project management should be both structured and flexible. Our mission is to empower teams with tools that provide the right framework for success while allowing for the adaptation needed in today's dynamic work environments. We focus particularly on organizations that need to maintain compliance and documentation standards while still encouraging innovation and efficiency.
We're committed to continuous improvement and evolution. Maege is developed with an agile mindset - we regularly incorporate user feedback, adapt to emerging project management methodologies, and integrate with the growing ecosystem of digital workplace tools. Our roadmap is guided by real-world challenges faced by project managers across industries.
Maege is currently developed and maintained by Graeme Wilson, with input from a network of project management professionals who provide valuable insights and testing feedback. With expertise spanning web development, e-learning systems, and competency tracking applications, the platform benefits from a deep understanding of both technical implementation and practical project management needs.
As we grow, we remain committed to our core values of user-centered design, flexible adaptability, and creating tools that enhance rather than complicate the project
