(This website was produced while at Web Design Durham. My role: Web Developer, Website Maintenance and Client Support)
SteelFab LTD required a new fully responsive website that allowed their team to add and edit content dynamically.
The client also required sections of the design to be added to dynamically via templates in the admin section. This was achieved by giving the client the ability to add templates to each subpage using a page id dropdown in the admin section. This allowed for subpages that were more complex rather than simply adding tinymce content.
This site was developed using a combination of PHP, MySQL, jQuery, HTML, CSS, LESS, Ajax and Javascript. All dynamic content was stored in a MySQL database which the client could add and edit using a bespoke inhouse CMS (Content Management System).
A personalised CMS was developed for this project. The most popular features included: Custom Navigation, Page Creation/Edit, Featured Elements, Events, Blog, News, Image/File Uploads, Gallery, Slide, Wiziwig Editor, E-commerce (Delivery Options, Vouchers, Product Variants, Photo, Stock, Comments, Rating System, Similar Product References and Categories with a parent/child relationship), Testimonials, Advertisements, Social Media Integration, Newsletters, Interactive Forms, Waypoints Creator, CSV generator, Videos and Subscription Features.
Training and support (client support and SEO methods) was provided by either myself or another member of the team.
Testing included IE8+, Chrome (all versions), Firefox 3.6 +, Opera (all versions).
